Thinkwalks

Mission

Thinkwalks are explorations of San Francisco. We encourage curiosity about natural and social history, lead walks, publish the Seep City water history maps, and conduct research.

Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 2:00PM – (Virtual) Seep City

The third edition of Thinkwalks’ Seep City water history map is out now! This is the culmination of efforts in community discourse, artistic experimentation, citizen science, historical documentation and cartography. Use it as a tool for understanding the city, to stimulate discussion, and leave you with a desire to explore your San Francisco.

Join a 2-part water exploration with Joel Pomerantz of Thinkwalks. Using his map, we want you to wander and observe along two portions: (1) from Balboa High School to Cayuga Park, and (2) Alamo Square. Then come with questions to an online discussion based on what you found. In this Q&A, Joel will connect all your discoveries and share groundwater research from his seepcity.org project. Fun for all ages, even if you haven’t walked the map yet.

This Event is Free but Pre-Registration is Required. Those who register will receive tips and hints from Joel for both locations!
